Care Of All Leather Footwear As with all leather products, regular maintenance is required. Originally, people would protect their footwear by applying leather treatments made from available fats, etc. Customers should now use modern proprietary leather treatments/water proofing products in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. The leather will stretch, especially if it gets wet. This is normal and we make all bespoke products slightly tight in an attempt to minimise the effect of the natural stretching. When drying leather products it is important to dry them slowly, else the leather will go hard and crack. Generally, it is best to pack the shoes of boots with newspaper and let the product dry naturally. The customer must treat the leather with a proprietary product to replace the natural oils lost After drying. We will not accept any responsibility for product failure due to a lack of maintenance or if we suspect mistreatment. Liability Historical footwear does not have the same grip as most modern shoes, especially when wet. The customer knowingly accepts this increased risk and accepts that Andy Burke will not be liable for any resulting injuries. Customers must be cautious when walking on wet or slippery surfaces, especially if not wearing the appropriate patterns. Any modifications to products are entirely at the customers own risk. Complaints We aim to ensure our customers are completely satisfied with our products but realise that from time to time this may not be the case. Were there is customer dissatisfaction we encourage customer feedback and will endeavour to investigate and rectify the issue as quickly as possible. The customer must report any dissatisfaction within 14 days of product receipt. Returns And Replacements We do not normally accept returns arising from a customer error but we will always try to resolve any such issues fairly as agreed with the customer. In addition, the product must be in a saleable, as delivered condition and not damaged, for example after the customer wearing the products outside. With any dissatisfaction, please contact us via the Contact Us Page. |
